Description:  The research department at CAF is issuing a call for research proposals onDemographic and technological trends, labor markets, and health and pension systems in Latin America. Up to three winning proposals will receive USD 15,000 each to carry out their projects. This call aims at supporting research that contributes to a better understanding of the impact of demographic and technological trends on labor markets and health (including elderly care) and pension systems in Latin America, especially regarding the design aspects of health and pension schemes in light of the structural characteristics of labor markets in the region.

Description: The ABCDE Organizing Committee is issuing a call for innovative papers that examine how global public goods and cross-country spillovers influence multilateralism or will shape multilateralism in the years to come; and how cooperative arrangements can affect the evolution of these global public goods and spillovers.
Eligibility: Those interested should submit a complete paper (proposals will not be accepted) by March 24, 2019, 11:59 pm EST through the ABCDE website. The Organizing Committee will evaluate all papers in terms of originality, analytical rigor, and policy relevance. Authors of accepted proposals will be contacted by April 15, 2019. A final draft will be required by May 26, 2019.

Description: RIE invita a enviar trabajos de investigación en economía de la innovación y el emprendimiento para la 3era Conferencia de la Red, que se realizará en Asunción, Paraguay, los días 18 y 19 de julio de 2019.
Eligibility: Los trabajos seleccionados contarán con comentarista y la Red proveerá un número limitado de financiamientos parciales para viaje y estadía. Habrá una sesión dedicada a investigadores jóvenes. Se considerarán, especialmente, trabajos empíricos en los siguientes temas: (i) Compras públicas e innovación, (ii) Economía creativa e innovación blanda creativas, (iii) Barreras a la innovación, (iv) Emprendimiento e innovación, (v) Capital de riesgo, (vi) Innovación social, (vi) Evaluación de programas de emprendimiento e innovación, (vii) Competencia e innovación, (viii) Innovación verde (ix) regulación e innovación, (x) Innovación y recursos naturales. Una sesión de la Conferencia será destinada a profesionales jóvenes, habiendo terminado recientemente su doctorado o trabajando en sus tesis. Otros trabajos fuera de estos temas también serán considerados. Se aceptará el envío de trabajos completos así como también en progreso, a través de un resumen extendido. Enviar trabajos a hasta el 15 de abril con el siguiente asunto: 3era Conferencia RIE. Los que envíen trabajos a la sesión especial de jóvenes investigadores (menores de 35 años) poner el siguiente asunto: 3era Conferencia RIE Jóvenes.

Eligibility: We only accept complete papers in English. Submitted papers should neither be previously published nor be under consideration for publication in any other outlet. The manuscript should include an abstract of 150 or fewer words, JEL codes and at most 4 key words. All manuscripts should be submitted in PDF format with double spacing and should not exceed 35 pages, including references, figures, and tables. Please use 12-point font, and 1.5 inches margins on all sides. Please make sure that the front page of the manuscript specifies all your contact information, affiliation, title of the paper and co-authors.
