Carmen Pagés is the Chief of the Labor Market and Social Security Unit at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Previously, Carmen was a principal researcher at the Research Department of the same institution. She was also a Senior Economist at the Social Protection and Labor Markets Unit of the World Bank (2004-2006), and a member of LACEA Economia Journal editorial board. Carmen also joined IZA as Research Fellow in 2005. Carmen holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University and a M.A. degree in Economics from Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona.
