Irene Brambilla is a Professor of Economics at Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), a Visiting Professor at Universidad de San Andrés (UdeSA), and a Researcher at CONICET. She works on empirical international trade on topics such as firm behavior, quality choice, adjustment to trade shocks, and interactions between international trade and domestic market conditions. Her main work has been published in the American Economic Review, the Review of Economics and Statistics and the Journal of International Economics. She is an Associate Editor for the Journal of International Economics and a Co‐Editor of Económica, published by UNLP. Irene holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton and a BA in Economics from Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Prior to joining UNLP she was an Assistant Professor at Yale University, between 2003 and 2009.
