Call for Papers
Tenth Annual Meeting of LACEA
Paris, France, October 27-29, 2005

The Tenth Annual Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA) will be held in Paris, France on October 27th, 28th and 29th, 2005. The meeting is organized by The American University of Paris (AUP).

The Program Committee invites submissions in all areas of economics from researchers around the world interested in issues relevant to Latin America. Papers using interregional comparative approaches in economic development, growth and inequality; topics such as institutional economics, environmental economics, social security regimes, migrations and remittances, the economics of regulation, the role of China in the world economy and its implications for Latin America, grants versus loans as a source of funding for development, debt sustainability and sovereign default resolution, money and banking (including central banking cooperation), new channels of macroeconomic interdependence
between developed and developing countries and global economic history are particularly welcome.

Submissions should be made online. Please note that, unlike previous meetings of LACEA, there will be a one-time only submission deadline: Full papers, including an abstract and at least one JEL code are due by 30 April 2005. Only PDF files will be accepted as electronic format. Decisions on submissions will be made by 30 June 2005. encouraged. A limited amount of financial aid will be available for accepted papers by authors from developing countries.
