Papers
Sixth Annual Meeting of LACEA
Montevideo, Uruguay, October 18-20, 2001
The Sixth Annual Meeting of the
Latin American and the Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA) will
be held in Montevideo, Uruguay on October 18th, 19th and 20th,
2001. The meeting is organized by CERES, the Department of
Economics at the School of Social Sciences, Universidad de la
República, and Universidad ORT. We invite participation from all
branches of economics, from researchers and advanced graduate
students interested in issues of relevance to Latin America.

Topics of Interest
The Association is interested in theoretical and empirical
contributions in all fields of economics. Authors are requested to
classify their papers according to the JEL classification system.
Graduate Student Participation
Graduate students are strongly
encouraged to submit their work.
Paper Submission Procedure
Individuals who wish to present papers should submit abstracts no
later than April 30, 2001. The final version of the paper is due
May 31. Use JEL classification numbers in the presentation of your
submission.

made in a pdf file and sent to

The Organizing Committee encourages
electronic submissions, but mail submissions will be accepted.
Hard copies must be accompanied by diskettes and should be
postmarked as above or sent to:

Authors of accepted papers will be
notified no later than July 31, 2001. Limited financial aid may be
available on the basis of both merit and need, as determined by
the Program Committee. Decisions regarding financial support will
be informed after July 31.
Multiple individuals submissions are
discouraged, and under no circumstances will more than two
submissions be accepted from the same person, although he/she may
be co-author in other papers submitted to the Conference. |
