The 13th Annual meeting of the LACEA/IDB/WB/UNDP Network on Inequality and Poverty (NIP) will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on September 30, 2009 at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. Deadline for submissions is August 31, 2009. For more information please click here.
LACEA is pleased to launch a new network of researchers working in international trade and economic growth in Latin America as the successor of the Regional Integration Network. Its first meeting will be at El Colegio de Mexico in Mexico City on December 10-12. LACEA is pleased to launch another new network of researchers that aims to advance the state of knowledge and expertise regarding impact evaluation of different policies in the Latin America and the Caribbean region. The Impact Evaluation Network (IEN) third Meeting will be at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, on December 2-3, 2009. Deadline for submissions is October 15th 2009. 2009 Meetings-Mexican Chapter-Network of Inequality and Poverty (NIP)
NIP-México invites paper submissions for the 2009 Meetings to be held at El Colegio de México in Mexico City, November 20th, 2009. They welcome theoretical and empirical research relevant for understanding the impact of the current global economic crisis on poverty and inequality and for deriving sound policy recommendations. The ESRC/DFID Joint Scheme for Research on International Development (Poverty Alleviation)
The Department for International Development (DFID) and Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are pleased to announce that they have agreed to continue their strategic partnership to provide a joint funding scheme for development research. Full applications are invited between 100,000 to 500,000 (100% FEC). The scheme is open to applicants from both UK and non-UK Institutions. The 2009 Bolivian Conference on Development Economics
INESAD the Society of Bolivian Economists (SBE) and Universidad Privada Boliviana (UPB) invite paper submissions for the 2009 Bolivian Conference on Development Economics, to be held in La Paz, Bolivia, 8-9 October 2009. The conference aims at bringing together local and international scholars for the exchange of ideas and discussion of recent results within theoretical and applied development economics research. The Second Latin American Economic History Congress (CLADHE-II) will take place in Mexico City from February 3 to 5, 2010.
